Sustainable Japan

Recently I have been helping write a series of articles for a magazine on behalf of Anaheim University Green Institute. The topic has been sustainability in Japan.

Anaheim And Net Impact CSR Seminar

Last night saw the CSR Seminar hosted jointly by Net Impact and Anaheim University and it went off with great success. Dr Hiroshi Ishida the Executive Director of Caux Round Table, and a Professor at the Institue of Business and Accounting, Kwansei Gakuin University, spoke on the cultural differences and different approaches to CSR between Japan, Europe and USA.

10月と11月は、日本では資格試験のシーズンと言われています。証券アナリスト、不動産鑑定士等仕事上有利な保有資格の多くが秋に行われます。

私も、不動産関係の資格に挑戦しました。資格にも、能力を評価するものと、特殊な仕事を請け負える免許とがあります。業種によっては、免許がないとその仕事が出来ないということもありますので、持てる者と持たざる者の差は歴然です。

Anaheim University Akira Kurosawa School of Film Cherry Blossom Gala Launch Party

We've been busy the past few weeks making preparations for The Cherry Blossom Gala, which is a celebration of the Japanese Arts hosted by Anaheim University. At this memorial event, Anaheim University will be announcing the opening of the Anaheim University Akira Kurosawa School of Film. The Gala will be held on March 23rd, 2009, which will be the 99th anniversary of Akira Kurosawa's birth. Anaheim University will be paying tribute to the great film maker Akira Kurosawa, American Actress and Star of the 1988 film Tokyo Pop Ms. Carrie Hamilton, and many others who have influenced and contributed to the development of the Anaheim University Akira Kurosawa School of Film.

Anaheim University Akira Kurosawa School of FIlmAnaheim University Akira Kurosawa School of FIlmThe ground-breaking masterpieces of Filmmaker, Film Producer and Screenwriter Akira Kurosawa (March 23, 1910 - Sept 6, 1998) have inspired screenplay writers and film directors the world over, and if it were not for his influence, classic movies such as The Magnificent Seven, Star Wars, A Fistful of Dollars, and many others may not have come about. His many awards include the Légion d'honneur and an Oscar for Lifetime Achievement.

Graduated from the school's MBA Online global track program in April, 2007. Had my bachelors degree with honors in Political Science from Excelsior College, New York ( formerly Regents College). Currently working as a consultant in the Sales & Marketing division of Wall Street Associates in Tokyo. Came to Japan about 10 years ago and now a permanent resident.
